This study analyzes the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta, KBC) at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Makassar City, the only piloting madrasah for KBC from Eastern Indonesia. The research focuses on: (1) KBC implementation in the aspects of planning, execution, and evaluation; (2) supporting and inhibiting factors; and (3) its implications for strengthening student character and madrasah culture. The study employed a qualitative approach with an embedded single-case study design, complemented by an embedded quantitative component. Primary data were obtained through semi-structured indepth interviews with the madrasah principal as the key informant, along with questionnaires administered to the vice-principal, 40 teachers, 157 students, and 82 parents. Qualitative data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, while questionnaire data were analyzed descriptively and integrated through a joint display. The results show that KBC implementation has been comprehensively integrated through the Panca Cinta (Five Loves) values in curriculum documents, student-centered learning, positive discipline, and religious habituation practices. The principal's leadership commitment and teacher exemplariness were the dominant supporting factors, while variation in stakeholders' understanding and uneven parental support were the main obstacles. KBC implementation had a significant positive impact on strengthening students' religiosity, discipline, empathy, and social awareness, as well as on shaping a more humanistic and inclusive madrasah culture.
